Latest Zogby Poll: People dislike Kerry
Poll showing "undecided" swing voters now favoring Bush over Kerry by 25 points (35-10%).
This is one of the most bizzare polling results that I have ever seen. 23% approve of the President's job performance, while 77% disapprove. 56% feel that the United States is moving in the wrong direction, while only 19% say the right direction. Only 43% feel that Bush deserves reelection, while 52% say it is time for someone new. But all of this is offset by personality: 67% like President Bush personally, while only 15% dislike him. Only 16% like Senator Kerry, while a whopping 52% dislike him. http://www.zogby.com/news/ReadNews854.html Latest state polls: Florida: Bush 48%, Kerry 46% (Miami Herald) Pennsylvania: Bush 48%, Kerry 47% (CNN/USA Today/Gallup) Wisconsin: Bush 50%, Kerry 47% (CNN/USA Today/Gallup) Iowa: Kerry 51%, Bush 46% (CNN/USA Today/Gallup) Texas: Bush 57%, Kerry 33% (Scripps Howard) Minnesota: Kerry 48%, Bush 44% (Rasmussen) Alabama: Bush 53%, Kerry 42% (Rasmussen) Arkansas: Bush 49%, Kerry 43% (Rasmussen) Georgia: Bush 54%, Kerry 43% (Rasmussen) Iowa: Kerry 48%, Bush 46% (Rasmussen) Maine: Kerry 49%, Bush 44% (Rasmussen) Missouri: Bush 49%, Kerry 44% (Rasmussen) Ohio: Kerry 48%, Bush 46% (Rasmussen) California: Kerry 51%, Bush 42% (Rasmussen) -Rudey --This is better than a football game |
I can buy this. Personality-wise, I don't care for either candidate. In fact, out of all four Presidential and VP candidates, the only one I would be interested in meeting or sitting down for a beer with would be John Edwards.
Unfortunately, I don't have to like someone for them to be a good leader or represent my views well. |
Why have all politics turned into "Vote for who you hate the least"?

Ugh. I hate how many people these days don't vote based on the issues but on who they like personally. Is it really that hard for a person to do a little research into the actual issues and base your vote on where a candidate stands on the issues you care about? (sadly, I think I know the answer to that.)

Can't there be a box for neither candidate try again.?

Interesting. I wonder if the latest GOP add campaign playing here has anything to do with this.
They have backed off the "attack" format and have W and Laura sitting in a very nice peaceful room just talking. He actually comes across as a nice, friendly guy. It's actually very effective. If everyone is as tired as I am of the constant sniping, this could be a cornerstone campaign add. |

Although it's not apples and apples, a TV anchor who seems friendlier will usually get better ratings that someone who is considered "cold" no matter how professional they both are. Hard to say, but I found the spot a breath of fresh air. |
If I read the poll right, it means that people don't like how Bush is running the country but think he's an ok fella. On the other hand, very few people like Kerry but he should be given a chance to run the country. Wow, that is a weird poll.
