If not today, look for it on September 1 launch (frankly, it would be easier to track visits and such - that's what they did before).

But here's to keeping the fingers crossed for no glitches!!

Man oh man! I have been waiting for this since the summer. Neonpi, I know that you and your team have put in a lot of hard work on this project. I just want to say THANK YOU and dozens upon dozens of roses to you guys!

I appreciate the roses, but this time around I only just gave some small design/tech feedback. The roses really go to AOII's Rebecca Davis as well as the programmers. :)

I will pass your good wishes along!

Patiently waiting.... yea right! I want to see it as much as the rest of you!

"Go Live" Date for New Website Delayed

Technical Challenges on Website Developer's End Cited as Reason

During Leadership Institute 2004, Alpha Omicron Pi unveiled the plans and the progress on our new Fraternity website scheduled to go live on August 30, 2004. AOII is pleased to announce that the project was completed on time. However, due to technical difficulties and circumstances beyond anyone's control, the site will be delayed.

Alpha Omicron Pi has been working with Advanced Solutions International (ASI) to develop the new site. AOII has been responsible for all of the design, layout, graphical elements, copy and contents for the new site. As the website developer, ASI is responsible for converting every aspect of the new website from a test or development format to a live website. This conversion took place on Saturday, August 28. However, during the conversion, some of the data and graphical elements were lost.

At this point, the new website will be delayed until ASI can complete the conversion successfully. Once the final conversion takes place, AOII will need to review the site to make sure that all the elements are in place. While we are confident that the site will go live very soon, we do not have a definite date at this time. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your understanding.

That sucks. I really wanted to see the new website. I guess I am just going to have to wait even longer now.

Our new go-live date for the new website is scheduled for next Tuesday, September 7, 2004. However, depending on your browser, you may see a delay of 2 or 3 days before “www.alphaomicronpi.org” takes you to the new website instead of the old one.

So we have til next week! I know I can't wait.

While I too like the old website, the new one is SO much prettier - and a LOT more information for both the public and sisters! It's more of a tan and red scheme rather than red black and white.

When is the website suppose to be working? I thought in the post above it said Sept 7 and now it is the 12 and still not working. Let me know what is going on.

Lori sent out an e-mail the other day saying the new website will officially be up on Monday (Sept 20th). They have worked out the bugs and it is ready to go live! :)
