Star Wars Episodes 7-9
Thye rumor mills are ramping up: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/article/ds15455.html
If these can be made without sucking (no Ewoks, Jar-Jar Binks, or romance scenes with terrible timing and dialogue,) bring it on! |
oh wow.....
|
Could be interesting. I know it was always the intention for there to be 9. We'll see.
|
No fart humor. That'd be nice also.
But I think it'll happen. Where there's money to be made, people will try to go make it. The Star Wars name puts butts in seats. I don't see why it wouldn't happen. |

I've also heard that he wants to do some more work with Indiana Jones, which could take up some of his time.

Is Harrison Ford still going to play Indianan Jones? I lost track somewhere along the way:(
|
tinydancer, yes Harrison Ford is "supposed" to play Indiana Jones in the 4th one.
I personally think doing Star Wars 7-9 is lame. The movies ended with Return of the Jedi. Once Revenge of the Sith comes out they will all be full circle. There is no need for any further story telling (at least in my book). I mean seriously who are the bad guys gonna be? The Ewoks? I mean come on they took down the empire in the 6th one. |
There's an entire universe of sequel novels that all bear the 'official' Lucasfilms stamp of approval that take the story another 15-20 years.... something like that. I stopped reading when they killed off Chewbacca (ok, I'm a science fiction geek, so sue me).
The novels created other races, other bad guys. Like many new "regimes" there are those who don't agree so the Empire doesn't completely go away. If they did the trilogy that were the original tie-in novels, it would be interesting but if they completely ignored the universe they already created it woud likely anger some of the more hard core fans. |
