Sister Quotes for Tees?
 

I was hoping you ladies could help me figure out some cute stuff to put on Sigma Alpha Tee shirts. I always love how the social sororities have pictures of girlfriends with cute quotes for bid day and stuff like that. Although our chapter is getting good with finding/making pictures, we're still missing some good quotes or poems.


So... any suggestions for cute sister quotes or little poems to put on the back of our shirts?

Hey! I know one year we made shirts for rush that had the slogan: "Greek Letters Today, Great Leaders Tomorrow!"

I always liked that one. Another good resource is to look up friendship quotes. I used alot of those during my years as an undergrad.

I like "greek life...not just 4/5 years of your life" (or something like that...) and then there is always "sisters in agriculture" or "sisters in agriculture, sisters for life"

We used to get a bunch of magazines from companies who print greek t-shirts for sale, and use them for our own design inspiration. They have every kind of shirt you could ever need with lots of cute sayings and pictures. If your chapter isn't on their mailing list, ask at the office of greek life. Also one of the companies at least is online: www.greek101.com.

We have a shirt that said "Separated by Land or Sea, Sisters we will always be." I've seen some cocky ones like, "Do you ever wonder if you pledged the right sorority, WE DON"T!" But we have used greek101.com for ideas and also, the place where we get our screenprinting done has given us a lot of ideas! Hope this helps a little bit.

I saw a great bid day shirt yesterday I wanted to share...it was cocky but made me laugh :)

on the front was the org then Bid Day Fall 2003
on the back was "we made them a bid they couldn't resist"


I thought it was cute :)

While working on the t-shirt quilt that will be raffled off at national convention, I've run across several great rush slogans. One that's really stuck in my mind is "If you're gonna go Greek, why not be a goddess!" Cocky? Sure. True? ABSOLUTELY!

For this years rush shirts, we looked for some ag related stuff. The design we came up with has the quote, "If sisters are the flowers in the garden of life, then you reap what you sow." with a crysanthemum.

Oooh! I like that one:

We had a shirt made that had a girl on a horse riding into the sunset and it said "When the sun goes down" at the top with picture in the middle and the bottom said "Thats when country comes to town" The shirt turned out looking really good and was colorful. Using quotes from songs and movies helps give some ideas to get you started.

While we are on the subject of tshirts, where does everyone get their pics for the shirts, are they supplied by your screenprinter, or do you fin them yourselves>?

When your looking for pictures try Google. Just type in what your looking for ie "cowgirl" and tons of pics will show up. We get different ideas from several pics and print then off, then take them to the print shop and tell them the idea we are going for and they come up with a picture.
