Question from interest
Hello All,
I am very new to this board so please bear with me. I have been researching Delta Sigma Theta (btw, my research has been limited to the In search of Sisterhhod book by Paula Giddings, so if anyone can recommend anything else it would be greatly appreciated)and am considering participating in rush activities when school resumes, however I keep hearing conflicting reports (word of mouth nonetheless) as to whether or not my schools chapter is suspended, does anyone know where I could find out if this is true or not. Thanks in Advance Me ------------------ The most virtuous of all men is he that contents himself with being virtuous without seeking to appear so... |
Hello Nubian
Let me first commend you on your progress to date. Reading In Search of Sisterhood is a wonderful way to be introduced to our sisterhood. I learned so much from that book. I would also recommend surfing the net and looking at different websites that DELTAs have put together. I understand you wanting to know the status of whether or not the chapter at your school is under suspension. My recommendation is to wait until school starts to find out. Some might say call our national headquarters but I know that right now they are busy getting ready for our national convention. IF (I stress the IF) you are good friends with a Delta on the campus and feel that you can talk to her, then if you feel comfortable enough you can ask her but my BEST ADVICE is to wait until school starts and find out. Hope this helps Carla |
You can also contact the Office of Greek Life on your campus. If they don't know, they will give you the name of someone on campus who does.
