MTSU Recruitment

Is anyone here involved with recruitment at Middle Tennessee State University? I'd love to hear some updates!

ADPiAkron 08-21-2004 12:33 PM

My boyfriend's best friend's girlfriend is an Alpha Chi Omega there-- so I could probably get results when they are complete! I felt like I was straight out of Ferris Bueller with that first comment! haha

Paging MTSUGirl!!! :)

Alas, I know nothing. We hold recruitment in 2 weeks, and since I've been gone all summer, I have no idea who is even going through this semester.

Thanks, ADPiAkron! I'm so anxious to hear what happens!!

Would someone from MTSU please post the recruitment results (i.e. bids and snap totals)?
Thanks,

Silver

Ok...so I heard from my boyfriend's friend today and he said he thought that quota was 35...but I just laughed because I know he has no clue! He said "I think 35" like he knew! How cute! He is going to find out from his girlfriend and let me know!

Psst....Andrea :)

I heard on PO that quota was 34, and the ADPi chapter matched it :D (Not sure about the other sororities, however)

Sounds good to me!!! Now someone can post for the other chapters!

I was tolda that quota was 34, and that on Bid Day 3 sororities had mtached it, and most have since then. I don't want to give names because I haven't heard confirmation of which ones did and which ones didn't.

I've got a cousin who may enroll next semester (January 2005) and would be a first year freshman. Is there a spring recruitment or would she have to wait until the following year.

Also, she is a legacy to one of the sororities. So if that group made quota, then the only way she would be able to rush - and join - that sorority next semester would be if they are under total?

For example, say ABC made quota this semester and are at total. But come next semester, a number of women graduate and or leave and they go under total. Would ABC be able to recruit then?

Yes. Just keep in mind that some sororities don't really advertise COR events especially if they have only 2 or 3 spots. They just invite people that they know. Have your cousin's Greek relative send a legacy introduction form to the chapter. That way the chapter will know that she is on campus. It's not a guarantee but it can't hurt either.

Thanks. The legacy is her sister and I believe she, the member of ABC, may have already - or is planning on - sending a letter of introduction.

In any case, I will pass on the information to them both to be sure.
