BETA ALPHA NEOS

I would first like to take the time to thank all who've shown me love here. I give mad props to the women of DST. I've been reading your post for awhile, and I'm sure many of you are aware of the situation your sorors of the Beta Alpha chapeter were dealing with this semester. Well for awhile I've been here in Tallahassee at FSU(transfered my junior year). Let me just as a fellow greek, I felt for the Beta Alpha Deltas. I was just as glad as you when the whole B.S. was dropped. Well I attended the probate show of course, but for those who couldn't be there to support your sorors don't despair. Thanks to college club you can view pictures of the show. Go to www.collegeclub.com and click on the picture gallery. Go to Florida. Once you scroll to Florida, scroll down to Florida A&M and their gallery menu will come up. I hope you enjoy. Sorry for the long post.

Greetings, ladies of Delta Sigma Theta and friends! Again, this post is meant in sisterly love...

Isn't it funny how both the AKA and DST chapters have the same name? Anyone know the history behind that or if there are other campuses at which our organizations share chapter names?

Discogoddess,

It is my understanding that early in both organizations histories, one orgainzation would follow another to a campus and then compete for membership. That is why in a lot of cases the chapter names are the same or just one or two chapters off, (for example, here on my campus we are Alpha Theta, and the AKAs are Alpha Iota). If you are really intersted, In Search of Sisterhood is a really good book and gives the history of the chapters and explains how they are intertwined that way.

Sisterly Love
