My LS, my back, my #3, Ms. Rashida Amina Bint Mingo ("RHOyal Highness" 3-AB-02 and former Miss Tennessee State University 2002-03) has been blessed with the opportunity to compete for the title of Miss TN USA 2005. When she wins :D she can go on to compete for the title of Miss USA 2005 and Miss Universe 2005!! She is currently seeking donations to help with pageant expenses and I am passing this along to help with her solicitations. Below is a copy of the email she sent to me....also attached was a flyer with her platform and other information....I would also be happy to forward this to anyone who wants it.

Hello Everyone,

I pray this email finds you in good health and spirits. I am blessed myself. Well as all of you may know, I have dreamed long and hard about becoming Miss Universe one day and I have finally gotten a chance to go after this dream.

After a difficult application and interview process, I was chosen out of 100 women, to be 1 of 40 girls to participate in the Miss TN USA Pageant 2005 for a shot at becoming Miss USA & Universe 2005. I am excited!!! I am soliciting for donations to support my efforts. I am seeking to raise $8000 by September 5th 2004. I am asking for donations from $100-1000.00. However, if you do not have that amount anything that you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Attached you will find a sponsorship letter and an itemized budget along with a beautiful flier that will give you more information about my platform and what the pageant money will be used for. If you have in questions, I may be contacted by email at rashidamingo@yahoo.com. Please respond to this email in a timely manner whether or not you decide to donate. My Deadline is September 5th 2004.

If you do decide to donate, I will send you a self stamped envelope to place your donations in so that you won't have to worry about finding paying for postage. However if you prefer to send it yourself you may send it to my assistant's address at:

Congrats to Soror Mingo! I actually still member her Sigma and TSU information. I mean, how cool is it that our soror is named "RHOyal Highness" and reigned as Miss TSU?

Thanks for posting this information. Sorors, let's pass this information to our respective chapters so we can support our soror's ascent to her title as Miss USA 2005! Yes, I'm excited for her. :D
