disaffiliated, and looking at

hi i am new here, but have a question i was hoping you guys could answer

i transfered to a new school and immediately rush started i went in blindly and pledged a fraternity. a number of things happened during pledging that i didn't agree with or like, but each time i was convinced to stick it out. however the week after getting intiated i couldn't take it any longer and disaffiliated.

now the thing is that was last fall, and now as fall is approaching again, and i have a better gauge on things, i want to rush again.

i have a letter from the fraternity i joined saying i am disaffiliated and all of that

if i rush again what are the chances on getting a bid do you guys think, what would you think if a rushee came through and explained this to you? i have friends in all three of the fraternities i am looking at (sae, sigep, and kappa sigma) and they have all encouraged me to rush but does anyone know the overal policies of these mentioned fraternities regarding a situation such as mine?

hey there....Im not sure what the policy is...you should post this on the rush thread or just in the chit chat forum, someone in there will definatly be able to help you out!
good luck

the rule differs from campus consult with IFC with that issue on ur campus ..

i know for our campus you can pledge a diferent chapter after a year .. and if your a transfer i think you can join another chapter asap .. consult with chapter president and they can help you out ..

good luck and keep SigEp in your mind

Rushing again

Most Fraternal orginizations have a(n) unwritten/written rule about that. If you have seen the ritual from another fraternity, then you will most likly find it hard to find a Fraternity to rush. I know at my school if we found a person from another fraternity who witnessed their ritual, and came to pledge us we would most likley not let them come through. Who is to say that even though you are no longer affilited with that chapter that you get mad at the chapter you are planning on rushing. Now you have the secerets of two fraternities. So my answer would most likley be no.

We've had several members who started pledging at other houses and dropped, then pledged at SigEp, and that's fine, but a guy who was initiated and disaffiliated another fraternity we won't accept. Like 506 said it's an unwritten rule (unwritten as far as I know)

I know that in some GLO pledging, you are ask if you have ever been inducted into another GLO.

that sucks for you. you should have had the intelligence to DE-PLEDGE yourself when you had the chance. If i were rushing you and found out that you had been initiated into another fraternity, then i would definitly tell you to fuck off.

I'm sorry, but I agree with the above. I couldn't let you into my chapter.
