Recomendation Assistance
 

My name is Melissa Smith and I attended Eastern Kentucky University. I am going through formal rush this fall, and I am extremely intrested in Chi Omega. I was wondering if there were any alumne who would be willing to talk with me and write me an introduction letter or rec. Thanks so much in advance for any help you might be able to give me!

I'm on the west coast or I might be able to help. I imagine the best thing to do is contact the local Panhellenic council to see if they can hook you up with an alumna.

I agree with Michelle. I know for me personally, and I think a lot of Chi Os, we write recs for women we have a personal 'real life' relationship with. Generally alums like to at least meet a woman and get to know a bit about her before considering rec writing.

I would check with the local Panhellenic alumnae association as they may h ave contacts. Also, tyr to check around with family friends, at church etc. And if you can find, let's say, a DG alum, ask her if she knows any Chi O alums. You'd be surprised how many of us mingle! ;)

Yes Kathy. A lot of alumna (and I would put myself into this category), don't mind writing a rec if they can meet you. Contacting the panhellenic chapter in your area would be a good way to find alumna.
