Anyone know about rush at FAU (Florida atlantic university)?

I'm thinking about rushing.
Is it competitive? Does it matter what year I am?

Anyone have any advice/insight?

Thank you so much and I'd appreciate any help. :D

looks like a good group of sororities to choose from.....

NOTE- the national websites are on the left, the FAU chapters are on the right

Check out FAU's great website for Recruitment!

A look at the Greek Spring Newsletter at FAU:

You should definitely call the office of student activities. They will be able to answer your questions about FAU Greek Life! Also, read up on the web sites of the national sororities represented at FAU. You can get a better idea of their ideals and traditions this way.

ETA: I had a friend at UCF who transferred up from FAU. She was a member of a sorority there, and loved it! It was hard for her to leave, but a change of major required her to transfer. Anyway, she's my only experience with an FAU Greek, but she was very positive about their Greek Community and her experience :)

Ummmm... I don't know the rules at your school, but wouldn't this be a pretty big violation of recruitment rules????

I don't know about FAU, but strict silence at UCF doesn't begin until Greek Forum. At that time, sororities may not have contact with PNMs outside of recruitment parties. Before that time, you're allowed to interact with one another; ie: summer session classes, friends, etc.

ya its not a violation here until the week of recruitment.. We are allowed to talk tho PNMs and encourage them to rush, we just cant tell them to "go xyz" or whatever...
