Date Rescue Calls from Cell Companies
|
I know someone who climbed out a bathroom window to get away from a bad date in a restaurant.
|
One of my dates from hell:
The guy spent the entire time in the car from picking me up to arriving at the restaurant complaining about a coworker. The restaurant: freaking Happy Joe's- the world's crappiest pizza. At the restaurant he monopolizes the conversation to talk about an ex. My rescue: My friend Kedrin called because she wanted me to help her get ready for her own date who was going to a party I had been invited in. "I'm sorry- my friend Kedrin is in the 'emergency room', I need you to drop me off at my place NOW" And I never answered his calls. |

I wish Sprint could have that option, too.
One of the "Worst Case" books, they have advice on how to how to get out of a bad date. I wish that I had the book and the cell phone option in hand when I had a bad date 5 and a half years ago. However, if history repeats itself, I hope to be prepared. |
Is it my imagination, or are people just becoming spineless? It's not that hard to end a bad date -- I mean, suffer through dinner or whatever and then say you're tired and want to go home. If you can't do that much you probably shouldn't leave the house.

This is true.

I guess I am lucky that I have only been on one bad date in my life. My friend walked out on a bad date last year. She won't stay for very long with someone who is a creep. She didn't even make it to dinner. After half an hour with a bad date, she looked at him and said, "This date is over. Goodbye." He said, "So I guess that means I'm never going to get to sleep with you." |
