I am looking at some companies online to handle vending machine operations at the Shippensburg Chapter. I have also looked at some pay phone companies as well. Do any of you have any first hand knowledge of using these to make a house better, and or profitable?

I looked online in a pay phone directory and saw 5 chapters in the US are listed under LCA in the pay phone directory. Also has anyone ever seen one of those touch screen bar trivia games in a greek house? What about Arcade sized games that take quarters?

We had one at the house when we were a local but a LLLOOOOOOG time ago.

Had one out side of my Liquor store and got a % of usage, but was SBC, they are not putting Pay Phones out anymore as cell phones killed them.

Did you check with the Zetas to find out who they were using??

Sure there are some places around. I know there were outfits who called me at store and said I could make money!

Usually the Soda Companys Pepsi or Coke will put in a vender and get a %. Pit each against each other. But, you can buy a vending machine , stock it yourself, and keep the profit.

Did this at my store. Get Pop on sale you do the work and get the % of $!

Pay phones??? Everybody and his brother (haha) has a cell phone these days.

One-on-one using quarters? Foosball! There ain't no virtual Foosball, and even if there were, it wouldn't be the same. The real thing is addictive. Builds dexterity and burns calories too.

If there's room, then a pay pool table.

I know what you're all thinking. Oh my god, Matt is actually back on the boards...

As for the pay phone. We had one for over 15 years. We took it out last year because it was costing us money. The majority of college students don't even have a land line anymore, much less use a payphone. I'd suggest just getting a regular land line for the house, and restricting it to local calls. That will cost you less than a pay phone, or at least it did for us.

The vending we do is only Coke and Pepsi. I beleive the companies them selves do that stocking but I'm not certain.

At least two of the listings, and possibly a third, are for dead chapters.

UCLA (Strathmore in LA) - closed for risk management problems
Texas Teck in Lubbock - closed for low numbers & poor ops
Chico State - may be closed?
