Italian Dessert
I need help! I'm going to my first Alumnae Association meeting and need to bring dessert--the theme is Italian?
Any suggestions? |
How about cannoli, or even better my favorite - TIRAMISU!!!

Some ideas of dishes that may not "sound" Italian, but are:
1) Cheesecake. 2) Cookies. If you have a speciality store, you can pick up Italian cookies premade and arrange them nicely. 3)Fruit and Cheese. <- My favourite! |

mmm gellato. there's a place in carmel that sells gellato and they have a tiramisu. my fave one there!

Italian style cheesecake, not the New York style, is also good. |
Another vote for tiramisu' and gellato.
And Tuscan wine such as Chianti would be appropriate, perhaps. |
Go for something different - bring italian soda syrup - cheap and there is a variety of flavors to choose from. you can put it in coffee, in soda, etc

Fruit and cheese is Italian??? :confused:
Tiramisu is prolly gona be the easiest to make. I've never heard of Italian style cheesecake. Cannoli's or Italian cookies would be easy to bring and are always a pleaser within non-Italians. |
