Are you an alumnae officer?

Are you an officer for House Corporation, your local Alumnae Association, your local Panhellenic Organization, an Advisor, or an International Officer?

If so, let us know!!

Here is my info:

Akron Area Alumnae Association- Newsletter Editor and Web Editor (Past President, Secretary, and Panhellenic Delegate also!)

Mount Union College, Gamma Theta Advisory Board- Membership Education Advisor

Akron Panhellenic Association- Used to be PR Chair and VP Ways and Means before the association went defunct!

I hold a few offices in the Denver Alumnae Association - Secretary, Friendship Chair, Webmaster

Before Delta Chi chapter closed, I was an officer for House Corp.

Of course, I'd love to do more, but our options are limited in Colorado with no collegiate chapters.

I am currently the co-officer of membership for the Phoenix AA (at least I think I am).

I am also on the Founders Day committee and on Convention committee.

I am a member of Akrons alum association but not a officer.

I am though Beta Tau's House Corporation House Manager. I end up doing so much with this office. Its one of the busiest for House Corp.

I am also trying to help get involved with the Pittsburghs chapter. I am in line if they need a advisor, so Im hoping I get to help them out. :)

When we had an active Alumnae Association, I was once Treasurer. Big mistake!!!

I have also been Chapter Advisor for Alpha Iota.

Right now, we're trying to form a Housing Corporation, and another pet project for Alpha Iota; I'm in on the "think tank"!

So does that mean I can use you as a source for information when I'm confused about some of my duties? ...... ;)

You got the advisor position? Congrats Polarpi!!! I am so happy for you!!!!!!!!

polarpi 08-11-2004 02:46 PM

Thanks! It's pretty exciting, but nerveracking at the same time....I don't know *anything* regarding the financial aspect of the chapters....I never served as treasurer/asst. treasurer, so it's going to be a pretty steep learning curve for me! :)

I am currently VP of Programming for the Orlando AA and in the midst of planning a terriffic mother daughter brunch for ZW. (hopefully)

YES!! But don't fret!! It really isn't all that difficult. And I was never Treasurer or Ass't Treasurer, either. I live by the Treasurer's Manual, the Advisor's Manual (comprehensive one with sections for each advisor) and, of course, the COB! And always remember, your job is not to be the Treasurer or her Team!

I forgot to mention I was the *only* advisor for about 2 years. I know I can now handle anything

Phew...that's a relief! I don't feel so alone, then! :D

I just got an email from the outgoing financial advisor....we're going to try and get together the end of this month (possibly with the treasurer, as well) and I'll get more info. But I don't have a COB, treasurer's manual or an advisor's manual (yet), so I'm still a little lost until I can look through those again and again! (At least she sent me a few documents to look over in the meantime!)
