Why Doesn't Anyone...
 

I'm wondering why no one chats anymore? Or if they ever did? I was curious b/c I went for the first time to chat & I was the only person in there. Is that just an outdated function?

The chat room got "taken over" by Greek nationals who misinterpreted the site, and they were so rude (for the most part) no one really wants to go in there.

I'm sorry, but you'd think they'd look at the posts and threads before registering and see that it isn't targeted for people from Greece...

The AGDs still try to get together on Wednesdays, but I remember a few years ago we had a very rude and perverted Greek "captain" who made himself a regular in our chats. There used to be nightly chats on AIM, but even now those are very few and far between.

Too much drama. Just like TNT.

Hey casigkap, the same thing's happened to me. I was gonna go chat, but I was the only person there. I say we should bring it back. Just let me know when :)

I don't do IM'ing much. Don't have the attention span.

But wouldn't an AOL Chat be a better idea anyway? The interface is definitely better.

we should revive some form of chat, after all the domain is named greekchat not greekforums...

I'd be up for either regular chatting on the java app or AIM chatting....

I'd be up for chats now. Last year I always got invited, but never participated because I was too busy with homework. :(

Then I say that we all agree on a day & time & just go for it. It will be fun to interact in present time instead of reading something that was posted a few hours before.
Anytime is good for me. It's summer break & I don't work (that would explain why I'm broke).

go to the aim thread and post your username....someone (maybe me) will start a chat.

ok, I attempted to start a chat, but it totally didn't happen. So I agree on setting a time and date, it seems like that would be easier. just let me know when.

Setting times and dates aren't really necessary. The later (around 9 or 10 pm) the better. More people are online at that time.

I tried the chat feature a few days ago and I was the only one in there. I would like to participate whenever you all decide to do it.

O.K. I'll be going on now & if no one is there, I'll be checking periodically. I'm on CA time so it's only 6:17 for me.
