No seriously, It depends on the situation. It's never "too soon" or "too late". I'd say just let things go at the pace that they need to.

Concerning these matters, I think that it is up to the 2 (and only 2) parties involved in the relationship. You should go with your heart and your gut instinct. On a personal note however, I wouldn't introduce someone to my parents unless I thought they had potential to be a serious long term relationship. If you have the "talk" about dating exclusively, I think that ties into when you can start calling someone your boyfriend/girlfriend. As for the sex question, some people do it immediately, some wait, it is a personal choice and again, it has to be up to the two people involved. Don't confuse sex with love though in the beginning of a relationship.

-start sleeping over at each others places? I started sleeping over on the 2nd date (but that was all we did... i put off sex until the next date)

-meet their parents? hahaha, we broke up after a month so I never met his parents, but I have a feeling that it would have been at least a few mnths.


However if I were to do it all over again I would wait until at least a month to start having sex. Basically sex=me sleeping over at his place, so that would be a month too. Dammit, if I'm gonna go over there and screw him I'm at least gonna spend the night. And I have no restraint, so if I sleep over, he's pretty much guaranteed sex.

I think it depends on experience. In regards to sex and sleeping over, I would recommend that someone who hasn't been in a serious *adult* relationship take things slower than they would like, just so they don't rush into physical intimacy, and confuse sex with love. Once you have a little more experience under your belt, you can probably move faster. At least, that's how it's worked with me.

Labels? Have always come naturally. Sometimes I've had the "State of the Relationship" address, sometimes no.

Parents? I guess in college, sometimes you have the option of meeting parents a little earlier, since parents come to visit, and most kids don't live too far from where they go to school. It seems to depend on how much pressure your families put on you...some like meeting casual relationship-mates, others assume that every person you bring home is the One.

Meeting the parents??? You never really meet the parents, just their represenitive. That said, only when you have to.

At our age, its highly unlikely and is often looked upon as wierd. Honestly, if some girl wanted to date me but didnt want us to have sex....I'd think she had some STD or something.

Maybe I should start going to church if I want to find them? ;) Sometimes the worst girls are found in church. I remember meeting this one chick at my parents church when I was 16 or 17 yrs old. Make a long story short...I seduced her and then 4 months later I got a call from her saying she was pregnant. I didnt think it was mine, the dates were all messed up. She kept saying the kid was mine even went to the state attorney after the kid was born and them tried to come after me when I turned 18 years old. I got a DNA test done...came back negative. Did it again....came back negative. The kid was not mine. Ever since then I've never hit on a chick that I thought was hot while at church.

not everyone in church is pure. everyone knows that. don't let the cover fool you. but also, do not let it make you think that all church girls are undercover loose women.
