Bad News :(
 

Hey everyone! I thought I might as well tell everyone that I won't be at SJSU in the fall and thus won't be an active member of the Gamma Eta Chapter. Unfortunately, my dad is having his 3rd hip replacement surgery and looks like it's so bad that he won't have a hip for 2 months.. yeah not a typo.. 2 months with NO HIP. It's so scary and totally sucks for him. I decided to go to a local jr college so that I'll be close to home (5 minutes as opposed to 10 minutes to SJ state haha). I'm also playing soccer there because it's always been a huge part of who I am.. and I didn't play last year.. so I'm backk! hehe. Anyway.. I'm hoping to help out as much as possible.. Bid Day and all that good stuff. I should be back in the Spring. I'll have to live thought all you guys with your updates about your chapters.. which will keep me smiling. :) -Rita

I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I'm sure he'll be in a lot of pain. Good for you on getting to play soccer again! I know I was lost without playing competitive volleyball in college. Thank god for intramurals!

Well anyways....good luck to your dad. I'll be praying for him to have a good recovery! I'm sure you'll be excited to get back to your chapter next Spring!
