I'm surprised nobody has posted Ann Coulter

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/...in631949.shtml

Ann Coulter gets owned by USAT op-ed fact checker: http://davidweigel.blogspot.com/2004...90244980786954

The column that made her get fired is on her website: http://anncoulter.com/

Quote:

Here at the Spawn of Satan convention in Boston, conservatives are deploying a series of covert signals to identify one another, much like gay men do. My allies are the ones wearing crosses or American flags. The people sporting shirts emblazened with the "F-word" are my opponents. Also, as always, the pretty girls and cops are on my side, most of them barely able to conceal their eye-rolling.
---------------------------------

My pretty-girl allies stick out like a sore thumb amongst the corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie chick pie wagons they call "women" at the Democratic National Convention.

She does come off like an idiot there.

She represents her political allies poorly. I think what passes for humor in her circle is just offensive to the rest of America.

Rudey 07-28-2004 05:41 PM

I hear that all these Democrats are really religious and hate gays. Is this true??

Why? It's funny. It's a joke and if people can't understand that, screw them.

What's scary is that I'm not so sure she meant it as humor.

Ann Coulter is definitely a discredit to conservatives everywhere. Give me Tucker Carlson (and his sexy bowtie) any day! :)

And is the anti-thesis to Michael Moore.

While I agree with that in principle, when you publish something in the USA Today, that is just subject to different rules.

I'm not offended. I just think she makes conservatives look bad with that kind of rhetoric.

comparing ann coulter and michael moore's credential is like trying to compare the street credential of Backstreet Boys and N'Sync.

Here's Ann's complete artical on her website: http://anncoulter.org/columns/2004/072604.htm

Sure, this artical is pretty sarcastic, but for the most part, I think Ann is a very intelligent woman. Also, I'd love to see Ann Coulter and Michael Moore in a debate. Most of Ann's arguments are well-thought out and researched, whereas Michael Moore is off in his own little fantasy world. The left would like everyone to believe that Ann is just a nutjob like Moore, but that's not the way it is. Try reading her books, like Treason, and see how well-researched it is.

Ann parties like it's 1999.

Except Coulter went to Cornell, Michigan Law, and was then an editor the Michigan Law Review. She sounds almost like Barak Obama.

Intelligent enough to claim that Nixon and McCarthy defended freedom?

Yes and actually her column makes sense in regards to the things she speaks about.
