Alumnae who will write recs

Are there a few ADPi alum lurking who will send an informational rec in for a few GC PNM's who have approached me?

PM me and I will send you their info and contact names. You can chat online, write their rec and send it in. Many of the chapters I have talked to recently accept emailed recs.

Thanks for your help.

I'm already writing a few for GC and would be willing to write a few more. I love to help a potential sister whenever I can. :)

I've never written a rec before, but I would be more than willing if you can let me know what to do. I did see them a bunch working with recruitment in the chapter a few years ago. Anyway, let me know! :)

Thanks all. I have no other recs at this time. If I run into a bind as with a few weeks ago, glad to know I have so many eager volunteers!

If you haven't written a rec, here are the guidelines:

1) You must be an alumna in good standing from any chapter of ADPi -OR- you are a collegian in good standing, but you are not attending the university where the PNM will be going through recruitment. (Collegians may not write recs for women who will be going through recruitment at their own universities/chapters!)

2) Go to Pride Online and download the Potential Member Profile in the Resource Center. This PMP will also be in your summer Adelphean.

3) Fill out the form. The PNM can assist you, as it asks about her attributes, accomplishments, test scores, etc.

4) Submit the rec directly to the chapter at the school the PNM will be attending. You may also include a brief note/letter and/or photo.

Submitting a PMP is a very simple process. I hope this clears up confusion for any ADPi's who haven't submitted a rec, but who may do so in the near future.

Remember, a rec doesn't guarantee a bid. It just gives our chapters an opportunity to get to know a PNM better in the earlier rounds of recruitment, and to know sooner whether she would be a good fit for ADPi or not.

If there is a woman you are aware of that you would NOT recommend for ADPi, and you are adamantly opposed to her even being considered for membership, you may submit a PMP to that chapter for that woman and check off a box stating that you do not recommend her for membership.
