Laura Bush vs Teresa Heinz
With politics and their husbands aside, who would you prefer?
I heard one of Teresa's speeches and just about fell asleep. Also, she looks like an old mean boss of mine. So, I got to go with Laura. |
I'm more of a fan of Laura - I think she's more well-spoken than Theresa, and there's just something about Heniz-Kerry that rubs me the wrong way.
Although her "shove it" comment yesterday was absolutely priceless. |
All I'm going to say is that I'm glad it's not her finger that would be on the button.
Heinz-Kerry that is. |
I don't think Laura Bush could possibly be more boring and traditional. If she came into my shoe store she'd buy the same boring pump we've been selling for 50 years. I'll take Teresa Heinz Kerry anyday.
|
Teresa is a fricking nutjob. Not even the Democrats dispute that. They say one of Kerry's biggest weaknesses is his wife and they've tried to get her to shutup as much as possible. Republicans love when she talks. She's not stupid; she's just a nutjob.

Laura Bush is a gracious, polished southern lady. Her style is smooth and accommodating. She humanizes GWB, and adds a bit of traditional life to the team. But, I find she is bland and deferring to her husband.
I like Teresa Heinz-Kerry, for so many reasons. She is feisty and speaks her mind. She seems to form her own opinions and sometimes that is different than staying in step. She is refreshingly moderate as well (remember she was married to a republican for years and only left that party after it lchanged). I like that she honored her first husband by keeping his name (only adding Kerry in the last couple years) and saying "hell yes we have a pre-nup". |
Laura Bush is a lady and she is poised and well-spoken. If I had to pick one to live with on a deserted island, I would pick Laura. Not only that but she was Greek and a Kappa Alpha Theta at that, and I'm sure we would have more to talk about!

I don't really know enough about these women to make an informed decision.
Is "shove it" bad? I hear "shove it" several times a week in NY. She didn't tell him where to shove it. |

and it's even "more bad" given the context of the many bizarre outburts she's made. -Rudey |
I would definitely choose Laura Bush :)
|
So Teresa Heinz Kerry says shove it, so what. Laura Bush killed a man, which in my book is a hell of a lot worse than snarking at a reporter.

OH BUT THAT WAS AN ACCIDENT AND SHE FEELS AWFUL. :( :( :( (takes off hat) Now let's talk about telling a reporter to shove it versus saying "F---" on the floor of the Senate, shall we? |

I totally adore Laura Bush though. I've seen her on a couple tv shows and she's always so great. |

Just though a little context was necessary. ETA: I think if you're going to draw parallels, the Cheney statement on the floor would be a better parallel than a car accident. |

Now that I have had some time to mull it over, I think that I prefer Teresa Heinz Kerry. |
