P/T Jobs (but I'm picky)......

So I am thinking of looking for a P/T job for some extra money. I have no idea where to look though. I have a Master's degree so that makes me over-qualified for many positions hiring P/T in my field, and the salary isn't worth it anyways (ie. minimum wage). I also only want to work no more then 3-4 hours a couple nights per week. I have no bartending experience either so that leaves that out. I can't wait to get my SW license so I can start doing fee-for-service work but that process takes a long time. Anyone have any ideas?

Retail...work in clothing or something like that. They are always looking for people to work nights and weekends. There's tons of opportunities in that field.

Even if you haven't bartended, most restraunts would hire you as a server or a cocktail server (I usually made more money working the bar area, but I never bartended.) Most places will make you train for a week, but after that short shifts a few nights a week usually isn't a problem.
It gets old, but it can be lots of fun too! I always loved meeting all the new people (I did it all through college and most of grad school!)

What about working as a coat check girl/door person taking cover at a club or bar?

A lot of people I went to school with did this and a lot of the time they would move up to cocktail waitress and even bar tender.

ETA: I know some bars don't care if you haven't had any bartending experience. As long as you have your SmartServe the bar will train you on everything else.

I was actually thinking of doing some of these things. I was at the mall today and was speaking to a manager in one of my favorite stores. She said they will definately be hiring come September when everyone goes back to school. Besides, I want something change of pace from my actual "career job" if you know what I am saying. I need a break from SW sometimes. Also I don't want something that is very committal or there are going to be lots of hours involved. I think retail/restaurant often cut back on hours so I wouldn't be horribly devastated if I got less then 20 hours per week cuz I make a decent salary at my f/t job. Just looking to make some extra $$$ to save and put towards my hefty student loans.
