Hey DZ girls!

I've got a few questions for you.
1)Where did/do you go to school?
2)Do/did you hold positions in DZ. If so, which ones.
3)What's your favorite part of being a Delta Zeta?
4)How does your chapter rate compared to other sororities on campus?

I'll start it off:

1)I pledged in 1993 at Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA. I've been an alumna since 1997.
2)I served as Historian, Lamp editor, Recording Secretary, and President. My favorite was Secretary!
3)My favorite part of being a DZ is that I know that I always have sisters wherever I go. When I moved to Atlanta last year, I knew no one except one of my pledge sisters. I got involved in an alumnae group and now have dozens of new friends!
4)Our chapter was very good on campus. Phi Mu and ADPi were the only other sororites at GA College, so we were pretty competitive. We took Greek Week 5 years in a row (a VERY big deal for us), so I guess you could say we were pretty athletic. And the fraternities loved us because our girls were very outgoing. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

1) Shepherd College, Shepherdstown, WV (Kappa Mu)
2) Didn't hold any positions
3) I'd have to echo DZROSE--I like that I can find people everywhere that are DZ's. But there are so many great things about the sorority--I don't know if one could be my favorite.
4) Well, there was just DZ, SSS, Phi Sig Sig, and AST on our campus--we were almost the smallest (there were only 3500 students total, so compared to SOME schools, We were small potatos!), but we were the most diverse. For instance on our campus, you knew who was a tri-sig because they were all blond and wore those black boots with heals ALL THE TIME--It was like a 'symbol' or something--very weird--a very snobby sorority--although a couple of them were good friends of mine. The AST's were pretty cool--VERY SUPPORTIVE of each other. I believe that when I left school, they were the largest, just surpassed the tri-sigs. The Phi sig sigs were cool too. We had threesome parties with them and the TKE's. Very fun girls. They were new on campus, but growing rapidly. Then there was us, very cute, very dynamic, very diverse group. Small, but we got a lot done and had tons of great leadership. Even though we were small, we were still one of the leaders because we really had a 'presence' about us on campus. We got along with everyone and all the guys LOVED the dz's! LOL

2. I am the Inter-Greek Council Judiciary Board Representative, Historian and am currently running for a few exec offices (keeping my fingers crosse http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif)
3. My favorite thing is my sisters, all of the great memories that I have and all the support that I have gotten from sisters even in the worst of times. I love meeting DZs from other chapters and taking my sisters with me whenever my bf's fraternity has a party(he goes to a different school).
My sisters are the sweetest most fun girls in the world!! Also, I have an amazing big sis who has never let me down. I can count on her just like I would count on a real family member http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif
4. Our chapter is the newest and the smallest at our school-we only have 3 sororities. But we are stong and have an amazing sisterhood. We are highly respected by the SCU community bc of all our spirited activities and our good natured attitudes. Boys like us bc we are not fake and backstabbing. We are the fun, nice girls!!

DZ sisters never end!

Hi ladies, my name is Katie Walsh and I am just a freshman at Northern Kentucky University. I just rushed this spring, and I am SO totally loving DZ so far. I can't imagine my life without it already! Rushing was the best thing I ever did!

Sounds like DZ has wonderful girls all over the place!! Congrats to Katie on pledging the best!

2)Adademics Chair, but then I left to study in Oxford...I was also Parlimentarian
3)The friends I've found
4)We've been sorority the year the past two years and won the academic and community service awards, so I'd say we were doing pretty well... :-)
