Meat hook dangling craze mystifies police

MIAMI, Florida (Reuters) -- Law enforcement officials in the Florida Keys are mystified by a bizarre new pastime -- young people dangling themselves from meat hooks on a popular sandbar.

People have been doing this for a long time. They just haven't been so open about it.
If this is anyone's idea of a good time I say knock your self out.

And they say we have a military shortage when you can obviously recruit these violent nutjobs.

Suspension is a pretty popular form of body modification rituals, as far as that scene goes. There are different forms of suspension, according to where the hooks are placed. Usually suspensions take place on private property that is owned by one of the people taking place in the event, or they at least notify the proper authorities that such an event is occuring.

It really squicks me out to think about it, but that's just because it's not something that I would like to do.

The Cell- yeah, the wacko in that movie did this.
