Iraq vs The Sudan
 

Everytime Bush gives his now played out speech about the need to go to war w/Iraq he harps on the fact that Saddam was a bad guy who killed his own people. Now one must remember that what Bush is talking about happened in the late 80's early 90's and then it was to put down an uprising to overthrow Saddam. I wonder why now Bush doesn't seem eager to send troops to the Sudan where Arab militias backed by the goverment of Sudan are killing the Black Africans in attempt to drive them from the area. These militia have stated that they will continue until they drive all the black skin away, this to me seems like a better cause for military intervention then bum rushing a man who hasn't done anything in years but talked a lot of crap.

Man why don't you just come clean and quite hiding behind Biblical verses that don't apply to the topics being debated. You seem to always present a long list of woes then attributed them to Black people then attribute them to Biblical verses,(which suggest that Blacks have turned their back on God) you need to stop hiding behind the Bible to project your (self hatred views if you are indeed Black) on others. I mean what was the point of you bringing Black pride into a debate about the Blacks of the Sudan facing a worst plight under it's goverment then the Iraqi people did under Saddam's Baath party .

I'm addressing this because I was recently asked if I was Comfortable in my own skin by Hoodwinked...I mean Bamboozled...and accused of a certain line of thinking that sometimes come from "our own."

WHY is it that when black folks disagree with someone, they have to question their blackness or accuse them of hating self? This is the most ignorant and closed minded line of thinking that is EVER so present not only on GC but in the community as well. If you disagree, then do that factually, but why question a person's blackness? That does nothing to bolster your argument/point of view and does everything to make you look ignorant and uniformed.

I know this is off topic..so you don't have to respond..but I just had to speak up about it.

I made the statement to Icon (First of all we don't know what his race is) b/c I've studied his post and they all seemed to suggest a hint of bashing like I said what was his point of bringing up Black pride in this topic. I'm not familar w/you being question on or called self hating I haven't seen anything from you that suggests self hatred. I ask you to re-read some of Icon's post b/c I call it as I see it, there are alot of people who secretly harbor self hatred.

You are so pressed its ridicuous! Its turning into an obsession! Since you want to quote my Siggy why don't you read what it says and act on it... Why don't you PM some people on GC and ask them like some of your other fan club members. I could answer your question, but I will not in this forum because of the immature way you're handling it. You're trying to make this a Greekchat issue or "call me out" so to speak. If you really wanted to know, you would have PM'd me a long time ago.

Since this thread has been taken way off course anyway, I may as well chime in. Lovespell, I see that you've referenced my comment about being comfortable in your own skin in several of your posts. Glad to know it's on your mind.

Also, I don't get the "jokes" you've made about my username. Bamboozled, in fact, means hoodwinked, led astray, etc... It seems as though you're trying to be clever with your "jokes", but by just using synonyms to make fun, it doesn't really work. It's like if I called you Ms. "Victoria's Secret Scent", it wouldn't be funny because that, in fact, is what Lovespell is. I don't know. :confused: I'm just trying to help you out here.

Allow me to piggyback on something you said AXEAM

You got to remember it was the US (reagan) that was getting comfy with Saddam while he was killing his own people. Rumsfield was dapping him up and everything. You'd be surprise who the US in is bed with. By the way, there's a lot MORE Oil in Iraq than it is in the Sudan.;)

The Sudan is a horrible situation. I would love for all of the Muslims on GC to give their take on what is going on. The problem with Iraq and the U.S is that we have painted ourselves in a moral corner. Since there were no WMD in Iraq, the reason became to free the Iraqi people (Muslims) from their own evil dictator. Is the same predicament not even greater in the Sudan.
