Me Sick!! :(
 

Hey all! I've been severely under the weather for the past few days and this same illness has had me for the past few weeks. I finally went to the doctor because I started running a fever and she said that there were a bunch of people coming in with the same symptoms. It's viral and acts like mono but isn't as severe.

Symptoms:

Headache
Sore Throat
Fatigue
Constant Sleepiness

Fortunately, my blood test ruled out mono, so she classified my virus as the one she's been seeing so much of. Is this thing going around other parts of the country? I've never had anything like it - and the craziest part is that I haven't gotten sick during the summer since I was a child!!!! I usually only get sick during two season changes (summer to fall/fall to winter).

I may have heard about what you have on the news. Forgot the acronym though.

I think I have mild bronchitis. Cough and fatigue. But I am slowly getting better.

Don't worry, it wasn't SARS. It was basically an acronym that meant "a bunch of people have this virus this summer but don't be alarmed".

I have it toooooo! I got it at Gamma Phi Convention so I refer to it as the Gamma Phi Flu. Anyway I picked it up around the 25th of June, went on antibiotics the weekend of the Fourth, and am still sick - I had it on my 21st as well but it didn't hold me down.

Is anyone else coughing stuff up with it too?

allergies...
can't take anything during the day, but at night, i nuke it.
otherwise, i'm hacking and hacking.

After my convention, I got an earache!! Ok, I didn't catch it from anyone...just thought we'd have something in common.

Thank you, everyone, for your well wishes!! And I'm sending out my own to those of you who are sick. Well, I think my antibiotics really kicked in today because my general feeling is improving.

I still have a scratchy throat and a slight headache but I don't feel like I'm dragging around like a zombie.
