Cruelty to Kittens
 

I am not a cat person, but this upset me so much so I'm going to unburden myself on my fellow GreekChatters.

There was a mother cat and 6 kittens (they were tiny, maybe 3 weeks old) who had made a home under the outside stairs at the marina clubhouse in our community. Everyone's pretty much left them alone except to leave food for the mama.

This morning, the caretaker found the kittens. Someone had run them through with wooden stakes (probably stolen from a house being built nearby) so they were stuck to the ground then the raccoons came and ripped them to shreds.

The caretaker said he'd never seen anything so horrible. Those poor babies :(

That is perfectly horrible!!!! There's a special ring in Hell for people who would do that to a helpless animal!!

I am by no means a cat person, but this is one of the saddest things I've heard in a while. :( If they find whoever did this, they'd better do some serious pyschological testing. Sounds like a future serial killer to me.

That is one of the worst animal cruetly stories I've heard. I think I am going to be sick.

Poor impaled kitties. :( This type of animal cruelty is a sign of mental problems.

That's just horrible! I will never understand how someone can hurt a poor, often defenseless, animal.

Well in this case, they held the kitten down and drove a spike through them I guess.

I really want some Taco Bell.

I guess I forgot to clarify my statement. I meant I will never understand what goes through someone's sick, demented and twisted mind that makes them think hurting a poor, often defenseless, animal is something that's amusing.

Ahh, I think its the same urge that has people be routinely mean to others on internet message boards. The ability to inflict pain with relative anonymity and a lack of consequences.

:( I love kitties. I cant believe someone would do that to a bunch of defenseless animals......was the mother murdered as well or just all the babies?

Sick, demented, heartless and cruel... people like that should be shot on sight, drawn and quartered, beheaded and burned at the stake! :mad:
