Its collars up fellas

I went up to school for a week to do some recruiting for my fraternity at freshmen orientation. Like each class there is a new fashion statement. A few years ago it was the trucker hat cocked to the side, and now we have the polos with the collars up. Last time I saw this style was in the 80's and on my German TA. I thought this was a pandemic to the region around my school but no, Low and behold walking through Georgetown I counted 8 guys with the collar up. Personally im all about the collars down but to each is own.

It never stopped being big in preppy circles and Georgetown has a huge amount of preppy kids.

--Besides when the collars pop, the panties drop as the saying goes.

the collars up thing is about as cool as Michael Jackson sleeping with your kid. (IMHO)

People are rocking the popped collar on the Upper East Side. When I told me friend's daughter that as a pre-teen I had owned a bunch of LaCoste shirts in a rainbow of colors, she was so impressed with me. Sadly, I got rid them (and my acid washed jeans  ) a few years ago. :(

the Anti-Popped Collar Club

Godfather Marshall began the club in an effort to end all popped collars. He, unlike many college kids and Jamaicans, realizes that the popped collar does not make a person cool. Conversely, it makes a statement that the person sporting the look "sucks at life in every aspect."

hehe...I love the tee shirt. I know at school lots of guys wear their collars up, especially this one fraternity on our campus (I think they ALL wear their collars up...) I don't really get the whole "collar up" thing, but it really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. (Though the first time I saw guys wearing it that way, I thought they just forgot to put their collar down...hehe :D)

I'll take the preppy popped collar look over the nasty trucker hat and f-ed up jeans from A&F look.

blades up (or wearing your collar up) is very popular at my school.....girls do this as well as the guys.

Here as well! Rizzo even did it in Grease, come on.

I wore my collar up to work one weekend with a very appropriate outfit and my coworker who went to a TTTTTT school nearby asked me what it was supposed to mean. BLEAH.

And that shirt is fabulous.

It looks okay on certain people (the way younger crowd). Actually a lot of my clients have done this but many of them need assistance in dressing and just didn't realize their collar was supposed to go down.

lol! Maybe some of these people I've seen with their collars up are your patients. :p

It's funny. I see these teens with their popped collars, and they think that they invented a new way to wear their polo shirts. I guess its better to follow this trend than to get another hole in their heads or elsewhere.

LOL. I agree, my younger sister told me and my mom she wanted to get a small pierced stud in her cheek and we almost died. My parents still don't know about my tattoo and I'm 28 LOL.............
