Just curious to see what kinds of chapters are represented on GC.

Before I moved back to PA, my chapter was Massachusetts Delta Pi Amherst. We will be two years old in November. We started as a Friendly Venture of 10 sisters on November 12, 2002. We took 3 pledges in December 2002, 4 pledges in March 2003, and 5 pledges in April 2004. Unfortunately, one sister moved away, two of our 2003 pledges dropped out, and another sister had to leave because she went to another school and her schedule changed. We've also had four sisters graduate, including myself. That means our chapter is currently 14 sisters strong! Not bad!

We focused a lot of our attention on community service and recruitment. We enjoyed eating out!! In the recent "Yardstick," we earned a two star rating.

So what are your chapters like?

Eta Pi is very small...there are four other sisters besides myself, and another on leave of absence. They've been around for a long time, but I'm not sure how long yet, since I'm a newbie.

We all share and sometimes double up on responsibilities, but we like it that way. We get things done.

My chapter is wonderful! There are 13 of us ranging in ages from 25-39. Being the newest member, I was a little nervous to how I would fit in. My sisters really made me feel welcome! I am looking forward to getting to know all of them, and my GC sisters too!

I do love your chapter name, ragtimerose! How funny!! When I do my rush party, I think I'm going to do a Pie Party. Your chapter should do that, too!!!

It's probably already been done, but I can suggest it. I can bake one nice apple pie with a tender flaky crust (remember to use COLD water.)

*giggle* That really is our chapter name, and I'm already getting jokes about it. I'm sure my sisters have gotten it, too.

...and I thought it was just an urban legend...

No... and I can sympathize... although my undergrad TBS chapter wasn't Eta *Pi* (we were Eta Gamma... and usually it was warped to eta "gramma")
