Okay,

When somebody brings up benefits, I am thinking health, vision, dental, etc., so if you mean something else, please clarify :) .

As far as not trusting a man, when he demonstrates shady tendencies, then he is not to be trusted, no matter how many benefits he has. Shoot, when I was dating back in the day, I had my OWN benefits (if the whole health package is what you're talking about).

Tee hee hee...;)

Oh my goodness!! I just reread that question...

Now, I have to say, that unless you're my hubby, then you gets no benefits. As far as not trusting him with them, I'd have to stick with the shady tendencies answer. :)

I still got great benefits, though :) LOL...

I cannot tell a lie....

I knew what you were talking about from the jump, and I'm sure others did, too. It's just that you might not get such an open response to that topic in a generally drama-free (nearly pristine) zone. You know this is not KAZO or MegaGreek (RIP).

IMHO, you can't have "special" friends without trusting them. How can a rational person have sex with someone they don't trust? Back in the day when I was doing that, I only stopped trusting when someone stepped outside the set boundaries and started acting like it was a romantic relationship. When the "special" friend began asking about whereabouts and activities, dropping by without calling, or becoming jealous, they couldn't be trusted anymore.

Here's a spin: Can you completely trust yourself in that situation, especially as you're growing older and wiser? Are you really just trying to be friends with benefits versus taking what you can get from someone you really would prefer having a long-term relationship with?

Dang, Soror Jojapeach said that when they basically start acting like a, um b-word, she had to cut them off... I guess to use Teena Marie's words, she used to "love them then le-eave them".

:)
