Greek Honor
 

is anyone in a greek honor society?
I was in Alpha Gamma Sigma and in Chi Sigma Iota. I was supposed to be in Psi Chi but I transferred and by the time i qualified i was graduating!!

Alpha Gamma Sigma...isn't that an Agriculture fraternity?? (It was at WIU and we didn't have locals)

I was also invited to join Gamma Sigma Alpha but it was during my last semester and I was never on campus and really didn't see the point to pay the 50 dollars to join when I didn't have any money anyway....

I was President of Order of Omega when I was a senior. No one wanted to do anything productive for the Greek community. :rolleyes:

You are correct. This is from the Alpha Gamma Sigma web site.

"The Zeta Chapter of A.G.S. was colonized officially October 1, 1970, at Western Illinois Univeristy, Macomb, Illinois. On April 3, 1971, during an off-year conclave, members of the other chapters met at Macomb to formally initiate 21 men into active membership in the Zeta Chapter. Also initiated was Gary Posler, faculty member who served with Jack Riley, Beta alumnus, as advisor to the new chapter.

Shortly after the initiation of Zeta Chapter, Alpha Gamma Sigma was unanimously accepted as a member of the National Interfraternity Conference [now known as the North-American Interfraternity Conference] on June 19, 1971."
