Fundraisers?
Hi Sisters--I need your help! I've been searching GC for great fundraising ideas and I haven't found any that really call to me. They seem to be the same old ideas or things that really don't gel with "Setting the Standard for Sisterhood".
I need ideas for a small group--less than 25 women. It needs to be something EASY and something, obviously, that makes a great deal of money with little money put out. Any ideas you have though would be welcome--we could possibly partner with another group on ideas for larger groups. Thanks! Heather |
Fundraiser (sorry to intrude)
My chapter has been really succesfull with a BBQ/cookout. We can usually find a place to donate the meats... and each sister is responsible for either, two 2 liters of drink, or 3 bags of buns, or cups or whatever... whatever ends up being about equal dollar amount. Granted it prob. cost a bit more for only 25 ppl. but we have done well w/ only 30 sisters participating. We also borrow a frat's grill, and usually a guy or two to cook ;) I know it's the same old idea, but we usually sell tons of tickets, and the cost is easily covered at $3 a ticket, usually.

Heather--
Contact Epsilon Gamma at Stevens. They raise money like its going out of style, and they have a really small group. Look in your Convention binder for contacts, as they did win all of the philanthropy awards but one :) Good luck dear! Heather |
Hi Heather!
Holly and I facilitated the Open Space Tech session on fundraising and the delegates in the session came up with some amazing ideas (really great ones for smaller groups too...). I will send you the list tonight when I get home. Hope all is well, Shelley V. |
You guys are the best! I guess I should have been in the OST session--thank you!

Fundraisers
Hello,
Im from Chapter Gamma Delta, and one of the things that worked for us was a donation car wash. The idea is that your 25 girls will be asked to find five sponsers for 10 cents a car, with the promise that only 100 cars will be washed. If you can get the place donated ( a fast food place might let yopu do it for free), all you have to do is purchase soap, sponges, etc. This can make you $1,250.00 minus you cost of supplies. Then you announce a free car wash for the first 100 cars, and people will still make donations. Good Luck. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. anna_s_mendoza@yahoo.com |
