GDI's new weapon against Greeks
 

Hey Everyone,

At Purdue Univ. the Greek system is quite large with about 44/22 national greek organizations. I guess sometimes the non greeks get a little tired of seeing all the letters people are wearing, so i saw somone wearing a shirt that that said G.D.I, in the gamma delta iota letters.

Thought that was kind of interesting.

Nothing new, I saw Iota Eta Pi at a football game once...

Ok, maybe a stupid question, i know what GDI stands for, but what does IEP stand for?

That is oldest of News, they have done that for years;)

But, it does run sparodically!

Many have heard horror storys about Greeks and Hazing.

They also have as many do, have no clue about Greeks and what we do for what things for Charity.

GDI, know for many yearts as "God Damn Independents" are somewhat afraid to really find out what Greek Life Really is all about.:(

We as Greeks hold the mystic in our hands. True/False.

Some cannot aford it because of the high cost of College and are embarresed.

Many times, when independents find out about Greeks they want to become a member. For those that are not invited, they grow more resentful and out spoken!

The local I started got many Independents as they wanted to do something differnent on Campus than the Local GLOs, all Nationals.

This Feb. We will be Celebrating 40 Years of BX/LXA!

I heard from a Brother today, # 82, saw my name and email in our International Magazine. Have not seen him for Years!

That is what being a Member of a GLO is. The Brothers/Sisters from not only Our individual Chapters but Our GLOs from all over!:cool:

our greek system is extremely small but as small as we are, we are pretty strong......and a lot of non-greeks don't seem to like that

we're allowed to chalk on campus and a lot of the non-greeks think that it's fun to chalk degrogatory remarks underneath what we write. it's so annoying when you see sisters who chalk about how much they love their sisters and then underneath it is a picture of a penis or something of that nature.

I mentioned in another thread that a group from GMU took advantage of the local Greek store's letter sale and all bought matching Rho Omicron Tau shirts (POT). The day they all wore them was also the day we first set up an info booth on our interest group.

^ we had a bunch of guys who were calling themselves the same thing. they wanted to become a local chapter (although they claimed they hated the greeks) so our greek advisor was like: okay you fill out this paper work and have a meeting with me and the dean and we can see what we can do......those guys never showed up and they never paraded around saying they were Rho Omicron Tau again

Some of the founding fathers of my chapter actually had a spoof fraternity before we were charted called TKB, Tappa Kegga Beer. They made letters and all. IFC banned them from doing this and school made it so they could not wear these shirts or get kicked off campus...
