Knox College
Hey ladies,
In this thread in the Phi Mu forum, it's mentioned that there has been discussion about bringing a 3rd National Sorority to campus (not definite, and not for another few years possibly). This got me curious. When did our Alpha chapter close? What would be the chances of us re-establishing Alpha chapter? Sorry, got a little excited when I saw that post. |
Per the 1987 Alumnae directory, Alpha chapter closed in 1973. I would hope that the Expansion Coordinator would be in constant close contact with the Knox college greek life as to the possibility of expansion.

lol, please see my post under the AXD thread "Expansion"

I spoke with one of my brothers a few years ago at a convention from Knox. Somehow it came up and he said they'd be interested in helping AXiD recolonize there if there was anything they could do.
Would be historically appropriate if nothing else. :D |

I think that would be the absolute most sweetest thing ever. Thanks for sharing that with us....that made me smile really big! :D :D :D |
At the moment, there is no public discussion about the addition of a 3rd sorority to the Knox campus, according to the Greek Advisor. IF I hear anything further, I will let you ladies know....apparently I wasnt supposed to say anything about the possibility in the first place :(

We may not have an Alpha chapter, but I count myself lucky enough to be a member of Beta Epsilon, and we're only a literal hop-skip-jump from Knox... We actually get to visit two of the founders' graves on Founders' Day!
I can't find the pictures from last spring's Founders' Day, but here are some from a couple of years ago... Beta Epsilon Founders' Day Pictures! :) |
