I also agree it's a good idea. It's a painful part of our history but it is a part of our history and it needs to told just like everything else.

I agree with everyone.

Kids today already think that the civil rights movement happened 200 years ago and that its our society is racism-free with a cherry on top. :(

I'm feeling that. I'm not yet 40, but I was also shielded in many ways from it from parents who grew up in Jim Crow, ironically.

Don't get me wrong -- I wasn't naive enough to believe that our society is racism-free, but I certainly didn't get the radar that I needed to navigate it when I was growing up.

I attend Ferris State University and I had a class with Dr. Pilgrim who created the museum. The museum is a wonderful thing because it lets people see the hurtful and evil things of the pasts.

Dr. Pilgrim is a great professor.

That site is deep! There are many things that we need to know and not enough people willing to tell us, so I feel the site is a great learning resource.

Great link. Some of the explanations of caricatures are the most in depth that i've read.
