You know you're a Pi Phi when. . .

I saw this thread in the AXO forum and thought it would be fun. I'll start. :)

You know you're a Pi Phi when...

-you start to love carnations more than roses
-you start collecting angels
-you get excited when you see an arrow on a building and wonder if the architect or his wife was a Pi Phi
-you want to collect as many badges as possible
-when in the shower you sing Pi Phi recruitment songs

Just a start! I had thought of a ton more last night. :)

When you see celebrity Pi Phi's (like Jennifer Garner) on TV and shout "She's my sister!!!"

Txsurfinwaves 07-07-2004 11:09 AM

When you see a street called Monmouth Drive and freak out...and to make it even worse, your boyfriend is looking at you like what the hell??:D

carnation 07-07-2004 01:17 PM

When you're in a senior floriculture class and the professor says, "A darker flower contains more fragrance oils, thus a dark red carnation would be more fragrant than the others," and you unthinkingly go, "YEAH! YEA PI PHI!"

(Luckily, the only other women in the class are both Pi Phis and applaud but you want to die anyway and thirty years later, you will still be putting up with cracks about carnations from your fellow alums.)

Instead of lullabies, your kids only heard "Take a little golden arrow" and "one two three words" when they were babies trying to sleep.

You get excited when you walk into a flower shop and actually see a "wine" colored carnation! (At least in Indy, most carnations are plain red.)

- you search ebay for pi phi things every day to see if anything new pops up

- you make iron-on letters and paint pi phi picture frames for your friends just because!

- you make a photo site mainly so you have a place to post all of your pi phi pix so the world can see what amazing sisters you have

- you stumble upon greekchat.com haha

re: doodling arrows and letters

I thought that once I was out of college, I'd stop drawing arrows, angels, and letters all over my notes. However, my notebooks and textbooks from grad school all have arrows, angels and letters in the margins. Plus, everytime I'm in a meeting or seminar, guess what's drawn all over my notes ...
