Most Defintely!!!!!

BrandNubian....what was your number?

BrandNubian 03-20-2001 12:05 PM

MamaBuddha:

We never got numbers. Is that a universal thing or does it just depend on the chapter?

BrandNubian 03-20-2001 12:06 PM

Wait...you are talking about pledge number right and not membership number? http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/confused.gif

I think they mean the number on your membership card. The numbers that you will see on stuff from National are your number in the chapter, the number of the chapter (kappa=10, omega omega = 600) and the number in the fraternity total.

Depends on the chapter as to whether or not they "order" the pledge class. I'm number 8 out of a pledge class of 21 and that is because there were 7 before me alphabetically (and thus got earlier chapter/national numbers)

But its not just chapters at HBCUs. The chapter at Georgetown is *very* much into the order of the pledge class (shortest to tallest, with the line president first and line secretary second).

I'm a number nine from Georgetown!!!

Randy, FYI, we no longer have pledge class officers. I beleive that tradition was dropped after the post-94 pledging reforms.
