Today I was volunteering for a firework booth for deaf org. but i noticed there is no greek firework booth...is it against the rules for greek to have firework booths???

I know almost nothing about FIPG and risk management type rules, but I would definitely assume that it's on the No-No list. The booth was for the sale of fireworks? Or for the use of fireworks? I don't think I know what a "firework booth" is.

It would be a major safety and risk-management no-no for a Greek organization to sponsor a fireworks booth. It wouldn't take much of a stretch for a personal-injury lawyer to start circling around like sharks should a fireworks mishap occur and the stuff can be traced to the fireworks stand sponsored by XYZ fraternity/sorority.

It's not unusual for fireworks stands to be placed in rural, unincorporated sections of a county - many cities and towns restrict or prohibit the sale or possession of fireworks inside the city or town limits; likewise, the local gendarmes stake out the place and look for anyone driving into or passing through town after stopping at the fireworks shack... they may not have jurisdiction over prohibiting the sale, but they sure can confiscate the load of fireworks you just bought there as soon as you cross the city limit!
