july fourth musical shows with fireworks

do you watch things like...
capitol fourth
boston pops on the esplanade
macys fourth of july fireworks.
i've been watching the dc one and tearing up quite a bit. it rained there all day so whether they get fireworks in another matter. but when you get a full dose of all the right patriotic music.
for example, clay aiken just did "i'm proud to be an american" oh my
sniff...

I've been to the Boston show on the Esplanade every year for the past four years. It's a great show, and it's amazing to be down there with 500,000 other people watching it all go on.

This year I watched on TV with a bunch of people, it was nice to skip the craziness for a year. I will tell you though it takes my breath away when they do the fireworks finale. The Pops, fireworks...a great way to spend the 4th.

In 2002, this one city near me (Taylor) did kind of a timeline of 9-11. It was so awesome. They would play some songs, and then put snippets of Bush's speaches about 9-11. It was so sad and I couldn't help but cry. It was awesome when they played the snippet about us going to war or something like that, they played Pat Benetar "Hit me with your best shot". And towards the end they played Van Halen "Higher" and every time they said higher, the fireworks would go higher. It was the BEST fireworks display I've ever seen. Still makes me tear up when I think about it.

I always like the Macy's 4th of July fireworks show.
