whatsup bro's. I'm a Pike at Drexel University (Lambda Zeta Chapter). We have 93 guys now and largest on campus just to give a little background.

I was wondering if any other chapter did a thing called BOLT with their pledges? It's basically the pledges capturing as many brothers as they can, tieing them or whatever and taking them to another school to party which they set up ahead of time. The last class we had basically caught about 30 of us and drove us to PSU to party with their pikes and they threw us a banging party. The thing is the brothers being captured arent supposed to have a clue where they are going, just know they are going to party. If you guys don't incorporate it I highly suggest it. It's tons of fun.

so, i'm kinda confused...sounds coo, but like, do you tell the pledges at some point that this is an event they are supposed to put on? or like, do the brothers know when it is supposed to happen?

brothers know what date it is, just not the location. The Pledge Educator and Pledge committee are the only people who know where the pledges will be taking the brothers. In our chapter it never goes past that and the brothers are always surprised. The brothers will be told to be ready to be captured anytime between, say 8 and 11 AM. The brothers know its BOLT they just don't know where. If your not captured you can't go, so therefore, the brothers stick around because they all want to go.

We do something very similar to this we just don't take as many guys depends on the size of the pledge class, spring classes only two or three fall classes usually five minimum.
