Politics

I've been thinking about this for some time... And I think it would be a really cool idea if we did a Voters Registration Drive... Basically get involved with getting people to get registered and voting.

It doesn't matter what political standpoint you have, or don't have... But to go out and voice your opinion is a big thing. (maybe I feel this way because I registered the day I turned 18 and volunteered for a state senator)

I know MTV has been trying to get people in our age bracket to vote. If we get more people interested in our country's political affairs, then God only knows how things would change.

What do you think???

I think that is a great idea. Our university does it (some group, but I'm not sure who). One of the things they do is go around and ask if people are registered to vote. If not, they give them the card and send it in for them... but I think that there isn't any postage on them, so it only costs time.

There is another group who calls to remind people to vote before the elections. But have tough skin if you decide to do that. My husband chewed them out the last time because he believes that they have no right to know if I voted or not. But, I understand what they are doing.

In other words, go for it!
