Help!!
I need someone's help!! Ok first- this isn't anything to end the world...
I'm looking for ideas for a 55th wedding anniversary gift for my husband's grandparents. (It's the Emerald anniversary). They have everything under the sun. They are old, live in a small town in the middle of no where...they don't like to eat out. They shouldn't be driving anywhere. I'm trying to think of something inexpensive, and creative yet meaningful that goes with emerald or the #55. Or something to do with the year they were married. 1949 (if my math is correct--wouldn't suprise me if it wasn't...I blame it on being pregnant) Any thoughts?? Any and all suggestions are welcome. Oh...and this is on a time crunch. I initially left it up to my husband, but he left it to the last minute of course!! Thanks in advance! |
55 years? They deserve a parade . . maybe some good liquor and some Viagra? ;)

Liquor would sort of mitigate the Viagra, would it not?
Try this...I thought it was cute anyways..http://www.birthstonetree.com/ |
Are any of their friends still living around there? Get them on a videocamera and tape them talking about their memories.

It kind of ticks me off how the jewel companies have taken over all romantic dates.. I mean the freakin' "Emerald" anniversary? Who made that up? Don't forget -- at 25 you have to buy a diamond or you are WORTHLESS a a man. /hijack |
