I had an idea to start up a little side business making letter shirts or shorts and selling them, probably for like $5-$7, on a website and/or Ebay. I was just wondering if this is something that you would buy. I know in my GLO we had a few events to make them ourselves, but it takes a lot of time and effort to make them so that they last.

I loved making the shirts before I had to go alum, and I was pretty good at it. I am about to become a mother, and I was trying to find something to do while I am on maternity leave that would generate a little income. I was just curious if this would be a good idea or not.

I think it would be a great idea (but only if you were willing to ship to Canada...otherwise I would have no opinion)

If I want an individual order, I have to order for the U.S and that ends up costing me an arm and a leg (which is why I don't do it often). It would be great to find inexpensive t-shirts or other similar items so i do end up paying 50 bucks for a t-shirt (yes I am the proud owner of the worlds most expensive t-shirt).

I'm not sure what copyrights you'd be violating if you did that. You might contact the offices of individual organizations who you want to make items for. I know that companies like Custom Ink. have contracts with the national offices of these various GLO's.

I went and checked out Custom Ink to see what you were talking about, but what I was thinking was nothing like that. I was thinking more along the lines of cutting the letters out of fabric and using WonderUnder to iron it on and outline in puffy paint. You know - the more girly kinda thing. I guess it would be more for a sorority than a frat. Do you think that would still violate some kind of copyright law?

I'm still just looking into it all to see if it would be a good idea. I want to make sure that there would be some sort of market for that type of thing before I took all the time to set it up. Know what I mean?
