After the Rodney King lynching one would think that the L.A police dept would have learned something, but I quess not. L.A's finest has once again been caught on tape beating down a black male after he surrendered after stealing a car. Now granted the brother should not have stolen the car but he did surrender thus negating the need for a beat down.

Now L.A's finest is claiming that they thought that the guy had a gun that's why he was beaten w/ a metal flashlight and kicked. Which by the way turned out not to be correct, the guy had no gun.

The police chief yesterday stated that they were under investigation, that the charges against the beating victim were on hold, and that admittedly this had some racial overtones (my word not his) that if properly addressed could help heal some of the rift between minorities and the police.

You know I hate it when folx use the term "minorities" to refer to people of color. That tells me their mind set isn't ready for healing and acceptance. Here in Minneapolis, the MAJORITY of the public school students are so-called minorities. Now isn't that a wee bit contradictory? :rolleyes:

They got that can't get right in them. But I think it might take someone gettin (if u know what i mean) them right before they can get right. How about we have a crooked cop beat down day? Anyone second that? Not the good, doing they job cops, just the ones like on Training Day. Let me stop before I get into trouble.

Would you believe that LA's finest is investigating another flashlight beating of a black male by a police man, this time the beating took place @ a party.
