Greek Life and Politics....

If a sister/brother of your GLO was running for office in your district/state/country where you were eligble to vote, would you vote for them, even if you disagreed with some/all of their viewpoints/policies?

NOPE...not a chance.

That's a good question.
If I disgareed with most of her/her party's policies then I would not vote for her at all.

If there were a few things I disagreed with but didn't have strong feelings about them then I probably would vote for her.. it's really hard to say. I never been in a situation like that before.

Nope. If I were in Florida, I'd vote against Bob Graham. However, a brother of mine is running for US Senate here in Oklahoma and I will be voting for him in the primary. Bob Anthony is a standup guy. I'm pretty proud of him actually. He's presently serving as Corporation Commissioner -- we have 3 of those in the state and they oversee utility prices. He got major points from me when a SouthWestern Bell Vice President tried to bribe him and he turned their butts in.

They had to pay out the rear for that one. And of course, they never got deregulated so that they could raise their rates.

It has happened that a Brother did run for a political office, and no I don't think any of the chapter voted for him, as his political leanings were not the views of most if not all of the Brothers.

No I would not.

Trebilcock is a state representative from my home chapter but he's already been elected

moe.ron 06-24-2004 05:15 PM

If he is going to give me access to present the views of my interests, sure.

PhiPsiRuss 06-24-2004 07:52 PM

I'd be more likely to vote for him, but not definitely.

DZHBrown 06-25-2004 11:23 AM

No.

There is one guy in my chapter who I know will eventually run for political office, and while he's my friend, there is no way I would vote for him, simply because of his political views. I suppose if he was unopposed, or if the other person was just horrible I could vote for him, but I'd probably just not vote on that campaign.
