Job Search Websites
Hey GC,
I am a recent graduate...YaY Class of 2004!! But seriously, I need a J-O-B. Does anyone know of any other Job search websites to try besides HotJobs, Monster, and the others people use everyday? I have a Bachelors degree in Marketing. If there are any sites for media or advertising that anyone knows of, that would be great too. Thanks P.S. Just to let you know, I am currently employed part-time but I need a real full time job. |

Girl, I feel your pain. I also graduated a month ago and sadly have not found a job:( .
But, I was referred to this website. I just received my BS in Mass Communications and this site has PLENTY of resources for media. Happy Searching and Good Luck! http://www.roundtable.org/search.html |

www.monstertrak.com (I've gotten callbacks from them after submitting my resume via their service)
www.entertainmentcareers.net (for those interested in the great world of entertainment) www.showbizjobs.com (see above) www.animaljobs.com (for those animal lovers) most of the time I use the yahoo search engine for job searches. Imperial1 |
Being that I work at a community college, I would also recommend checking out colleges and/or universities near you.

This has been really helpful! I'm in the Atlanta area and I've been looking for a job for almost 6 months, to no avail. Please keep them coming!
I have a B.A. in English (Sociology minor) and I don't really have an interest in teaching anymore, so it's been especially hard for me. I don't know what else to do with my degree, that's terrible :( |

Here are a few that haven't been listed that I have heard of or used:
America Job Bank www.ajb.dni.us CitySearch www.citysearch.com/Career_Center Hotjobs Monster www.monster.com (I don't think Monster is all that great though) |
I'm job hunting too as Teaching positions in Elementary Education in the midwest are tough, if you have AOL you can set up a job alert function through Careerboard.com and I get at least two or more job alerts everyday. It may be possible to just go through Careerboard.com. Monster.Com isn't all that helpful to
me. I was visiting another board and someone gave these websites as well: www.dteenergy.com www.socialservices.com www.governmentjobs.com www.federaljobs.com Also check out the newspapers where you wish to relocate if your thinking about this, as I am Washington Post.com or Baltimore Sun.com hope this helps! |
