Hey ya'll I don't post much but I wanted to hear different opinions on this question.

When attracted to the opposite sex do you ask the person out or wait till the person asks you out?

Personally I prefer to ask the guy but my siblings and friends suggest that I'm only setting myself up for failure. (They think its best for the guy should show interest in you before asking him out).

Anyway what is the best to show a guy that you are interested in him?

Ask them out. What makes you so sure that they'd ever think to or have the courage to ask you out? I'm not trying to be insulting, just trying to see what makes you think that waiting around will accomplish here. I don't see how you'd be setting yourself up for failure. Are these friends relationship experts? Like Dr. Phil?

I actually asked him out and found out that he was already seeing someone (D'oh). I'm just wondering what is the best way to show a guy that you are interested in him.

I would ask the girl out. But if a girl that I hadn't noticed before asked me out, that would be so many points in her favor. That's hot.

What are some tips for being more successful(What other ways can I show I guy that I'm interested without looking silly)?

Well, I could post with suggestions of flirting, flicking your hair and blah blah. :)

In reality? Most guys are POOR at picking up supposed signals. You flick your hair, they think your hair is annoying you. You flutter those eyes? They think a bug got in there. You laugh at their jokes? They only see cause+effect, that their joke was funny is the only possibility which occurs. You touch their arm? They don't see much in it at all and just regard you as a tactile person, period.

Asking people out is better. Sounds like you're doing a lot of things right. :)

Thanks Decadence. Yeah guy are poor (not all) at picking up signals. I am cool though(after initial disappointment) plenty more fish in the sea.;)
