Badge on E-bay

Maybe you guys can help rescue it!!

SATX*APhi 06-27-2004 07:01 AM

I don't know what the situation is, but I managed to rescue an A-Phi badge from this seller. It appears that he has several badges readily available for sale and puts them up for auction every so often, using the same photograph. The badge I received from him had nothing enscribed on the back -- pehaps once belonging to the temporary badge collection a chapter has. Although showing more wear and tear than my badge, the badge I received does not look much older than mine.

Thanks for the link.

I love the seller's description:

"...there are Greek letters that stand for Alpha Iota Omnicrom, then overimposed on those letters in paint or enamel in lower case letters is Alpha Omnicron Epsilon."

If you don't know, don't just make it up!

Would I be too crass for saying this????........
If the pin is just a quarter inch wide it's probably just a recognition pin so please be educated buyers ladies and don't go knocking yourselves out over it.

Go donate your money to the Foundation instead if you must relieve your wallets of some cash!:D

I emailed that seller to inform him that the listing was incorrect, and that it was probably a recognition pin and whatnot (like Im sure others might have also done)...but those sellers really should be careful because if they do manage to sell it to someone with half a brain the buyer would be pissed to have been deceived into thinking its a real badge.

A-Phi Pin

I have my eye on the 1937 pin since Tau chapter is not far from me...Many of the pins Ihave bought have gone back to collegiates as gifts, one pin with a single pearl went to a little baby legacy to save.....It is so much fun giving these away!

Thanks for the updates...:p

I agree...

...with CA in CA...

Be educated Phis when you buy these things...look at the description very carefully and always ask questions when you have them...Really in anything you buy online...

BUT it is fun to bid and know you have won! Enjoy!

:D

Here's another one. This is white gold with pearls and it is absolutely stunning.

Speaking of Alpha Phi badges, LD especially--remember the "red and blue" badges that we don't necessarily think are *our* Alpha Phi badges? Go here and take a look at the picture. I *think* that is the same or at least similar greek inscription on those badges that confound us when they pop up on eBay. And that's certainly not our Alpha Phi--maybe the one that started at Colgate??? I don't think I'm $24.99 curious enough to buy the program and get a closer look for myself though.

I saw this pin on ebay. It's not THE badge but could it be yours?

That's our pledge pin! Damn, I can't believe it's been almost 10 years since I wore that pin!

Nothing wrong with that--just means you're ready to move up to your 10 year pin!
