Letter Shirt for sale

Hey everyone,

Sorry to impose on ya'll's forum, but I saw a Phi Mu letter shirt at my work the other day (I work at a place where people donate clothes) and so I bought it because it saddened me that one of your sisters would donate her letters to a place where someone thats not a sister could possibly buy it and wear it. I was going to put it on ebay but my computer was messing up. I just want to be sure a Phi Mu gets the shirt because I would want one of my sisters to get our letters if I another sister was donating it to a place where someone outside of the sorority could buy and wear it. I'm selling the shirt for $9.00 (5.00 for the shirt and 4.00 for shipping). If any of you want it please pm me or email me. Its a lime green t shirt with sewn on letters on a fucshia background and the letter material has shooting stars with swirls. I think its a cute shirt that I would wear if it said ASA instead of Phi Mu on it. The shirt is a size Large. Please don't flame me or anything for soliciting on here. If noone wants the shirt I'll put it on ebay.

Thanks,
Leigh Ann

Thanks for "saving" it, Leigh Ann!

Keep in mind a sister might not have sold it at all. Lots of people who aren't in the greek community don't know how much our letters and our badges mean to us. If you're not careful to list in your will EXACTLY what you'd like done with these items, often they end up being sold.

It could very well be that a Phi Mu suddenly passed away, and her well-meaning mother or father or daughter or son figured they'd send the shirt on to a consignment boutique (like yours.)

I'm sure the shirt was treasured, and there may even be a funny story behind it -- but personally, I cannot IMAGINE wearing a lime green & fuscia shirt!!! That reminds me of a Kappa Sigma I dated... they had this AWFUL lettered sweatshirt in their family that had been passed down since the 80's. Wayyyy tight, horrid patterned letters, etc. It was a joke that each new member had to have one photo taken in it.
