Things to talk about on a first date?

So my first date with a new guy is next Friday (yes, its the guy who is an ex-user). We talk every night for at least 2 hrs online (it was 4 hrs the first night, but has slowly dwindled downed) or an hour on the phone.

We have already talked about:

Favorite Movies
Favorite Music/songs/bands
Sports
College Majors
Alcohol
Drugs
Family
Roommates

He is a non-greek, so that pretty much leaves out talking about alot of greek related stuff.

I'm scared that we've already talked so much we won't have anything left to talk about when we actually meet. I don't want the whole date to be silent so any ideas of some good conversations starters. We are going out to dinner at the Olive Garden (yummy! :) ) and a movie.

??Huh?? Not quite sure what you're implying there (maybe b/c its 5:00am here and my brain is working very, very slowly)

If conversation doesn't flow pretty easily at the first date, even after all of the communication you've already had, then don't bother dating him anyway. You SHOULD be able to find things to talk about quite easily with someone who is right for you.

So are you writing up an agenda?

You shouldn't have to force it. A simple "how was your day?" should lead to a lively conversation that lasts all dinner. Or, if you go to the movie before dinner, you can talk about what you thought of it.

Who makes a conversation list?

Who already hits on alcohol and drugs before a first date?

Who considers the Olive Garden yummy?

Who gets so stressed when there is a fricking movie on a date that she has to talk? It's a movie...zip it zane.

Ha ha! :) :)

Totally agreed.

You shouldn't have talked so much before your first date. Next time you will know better.

Yeah, this and what AGDee said . . .

Honestly, your first couple dates are to figure out whether you can talk easily and naturally to him, as well as how attracted you are.

Since you have talked for endless hours like . .. I hate to say it . . . high school crushes . . . I suggest you skip to sex on the first date because you already know you like to chat with each other.

So take that next step and see how if you are compatible there.

Otherwise you run the risk of burn out in that you haven't taken the next logical step.

I really hope that wasn't directed at me. The CU in our user names refers to two different schools anyway.

Neither of you.

ETA: I was wrong. I was thinking of another school. I offer my apologies.

LOL! Just checking.

Talking about smashing can usually break the ice.
